GO UNKD is a public organization specializing in digital security and the protection of human rights to digitalization. The non-profit organization decided to receive Google Ad Grants for subsequent advertising, and asked for help.
About the organization
Ukrainian People’s Control of Digitalization (UNCD) is a project that protects the rights of Ukrainian citizens and companies that could suffer as a result of violation of their rights in the information space.
GO UNCD, founded in 2021 as a niche civil society body, is now one of the rare organizations working in the industry between the state and society as an independent institution for quality control of digital transformations. The organization is supported by many like-minded people, volunteers, government and non-government organizations.

- Online investigations. Research of digital assets, internal incidents, analysis of insurance claims and litigation.
- Requests to Ministries. Managing large volumes of documents, strict legal time limits and close regulatory oversight.
- Extensive expert assistance. Secure solutions for smart business practices. Technical leadership and experience of corporate legal departments.
- Independent examination. Comprehensive analysis of digital product information, identifying non-compliance with legal provisions. Providing expert opinion.
The company regularly monitors the quality of digital services in Ukraine, studies bills and government decisions, and is always ready to help both individuals and companies. See the company website for more details.
Goals and objectives
For effective public activities, GO UNKD needs information and volunteer assistance. The organization also seeks to increase its visibility, including among those who require specialized assistance from the organization.
Receiving an advertising grant from Google allows you to spread the word about your organization to a wider audience and attract new donors. But the site needed preparation, as it did not meet all the requirements.
What should be on the site to receiving Google Ad Grants:
- Clear and understandable information about the organization’s mission;
- High-quality, useful, optimized texts;
- Secure HTTPS protocol;
- All links (external and internal) must be working;
- Availability of an information blog with non-commercial useful articles, regularly updated;
- Direction of activity – non-profit and useful for society;
- Lack of advertising that is not directly related to the organization’s activities.
Also, GO UNKD stipulated in advance that it needed to select search queries, as well as set up an advertising campaign on Google.
Result: receiving Google ad Grants
As part of the preparation of the site, the HTTPS protocol was added, a core of key queries was created, the content on the site pages was optimized for them, minor errors and shortcomings were corrected.
The final step was to submit an application to Google Ad Grants and receive approval. After this, our specialist set up and launched an advertising campaign. We control the quality and continue cooperation.
Begin by entering your first and last name to establish your identity. The next crucial step is providing your email address; remember, it must be a business, branded, or corporate email, as generic email addresses are not accepted. This is to ensure a professional level of communication and to filter out non-serious inquiries.
You are also required to include your website’s URL. This is vital as it gives context and allows for a preliminary assessment of your online presence, which is integral to the audit process. Furthermore, you must clarify your status regarding NGO registration or your interest in Google Ad Grants. This information is essential for tailoring the audit to your specific needs and circumstances.
After you have filled in all these details with precision and care, review them to ensure accuracy and completeness. Submitting accurate and comprehensive information is crucial for a meaningful audit.
